As the year winds down and the holiday spirit fills the air, we at Summit Packaging Systems want to reflect on our team's incredible efforts as we celebrate the season together. It has been a whirlwind of festivities and gratitude here, and we couldn’t be prouder of the hardworking individuals who make Summit such an amazing place to work. Here’s a glimpse into how we’ve been spreading holiday cheer and showing appreciation at our Manchester facility.
Setting the Tone with Thanksgiving Turkeys
Before the holiday season began, we set a tone of gratitude by giving every employee a Thanksgiving turkey* to take home. It was a small but heartfelt way of saying “thank you” to everyone who contributes to our success. Whether it was the centerpiece of a traditional feast or the makings of some creative leftovers (turkey tacos, anyone?), we hope this gift brought a little extra warmth to our employees’ tables.
A Merry Time at Chuck E. Cheese’s
Next was our annual Children’s Christmas Party. This year, we took the celebration to Chuck E. Cheese’s. There’s nothing like the sound of kids laughing, the thrill of winning arcade tickets, and the joy of a pizza party to get everyone in the holiday spirit. It was a fantastic way for our employees and their families to connect, have fun, and share in the magic of the season.
Christmas Roasts, Buffets, and 12 Days of Surprises
As the holidays approached, we continued our tradition of giving each employee a Christmas roast*. It is our way of sharing the joy of the season and ensuring that everyone has something special to share with their loved ones.
We also hosted a holiday buffet in our cafeteria for all first, second, and third-shift employees. The lovely people at Tidewater ensured that our overnight employees could also enjoy the festive spread. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces as everyone came together to enjoy great food and good company.
For added holiday cheer, our HR team has been running our annual “12 Days of Christmas” giveaway. We hold a daily drawing, and one lucky employee wins a gift card! It’s been so much fun seeing the excitement and hearing the buzz as we count down the days to Christmas.
